Our vision for digital certification of AM parts – Insights from the DILAPRO project
How can we ensure an additively manufactured component meets stringent industry standards without relying on slow, expensive post-process testing?
Post-build testing and qualification remain the biggest cost drivers in metal additive manufacturing – but in the Horizon Europe project DILAPRO, we have been working to change that with in-situ digital certification.
At the final event of the project, we present the outcomes of our research: an integrated software solution combining predictive simulation, real-time sensor monitoring, and automated risk certification for 3D-printed components.
Highlights of the day:
- Software Showcase: Live demonstration of pre-process parameter optimization and in-situ build data evaluation.
- Digital Certification Framework: How automated risk scoring is reducing qualification costs.
- Panel Discussion & Q&A: The road ahead for digital twins and certification in production environments.
- Exclusive AM Lab Tour: Go behind the scenes at DTI’s state-of-the-art Center for Industrial 3D Printing to see advanced laser-based manufacturing and sensor integration in action.
- Networking: Meet the consortium partners, industry peers, and AM researchers.
Whether you are looking to optimize your factory floor, implement digital twins, or study the latest in AM research, join us to see what additive manufacturing qualification could look like going forward.
The event will be hosted together with Danich Technical University, Dublin City University, European welding Federation, Centre for Research in Metallurgy, IMDEA Materials Institute.
